Alert: Kingfisher Berkley Practice will be merging with Darlaston Modality Practice on Friday, 20th June to become Modality Kingfisher Darlaston Practice

As part of the upcoming merger between Kingfisher Berkley and Modality Darlaston, we will be carrying out an essential IT system upgrade. This means there may be disruption to our access to our medical records from 12 noon on Friday, 20th June until around 10am on Tuesday 24th June.

Our online clinical and admin Accurx submission forms and telephone lines will remain open as usual during normal opening hours to offer advice and support. To help minimise disruption, we kindly remind patients to ensure repeat prescriptions are requested giving the usual 48 hours working notice.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we make these important improvements to better serve our patients.

Merger of Kingfisher Berkley & Modality Darlaston Practices

Why are Kingfisher Berkley and Modality Darlaston merging?
Both practices have been facing challenges such as GP retirements, staff recruitment difficulties, and increasing demand for services. By merging, we aim to create a stronger, more sustainable practice that can continue to provide high-quality care.

What are the benefits of the merger for patients?

  • Better access to a wider team of healthcare professionals
  • More flexibility in seeing your preferred GP or nurse
  • Improved access to specialist services (e.g. pharmacists, physiotherapists)
  • Consistent, high-quality services across both locations
  • Improved phone and online access
  • More opportunities for patient feedback and involvement

Will both sites remain open?
Yes. Services will continue to be delivered across both Kingfisher Berkley and Modality Darlaston, with no reduction in care or access.

Do I need to do anything?
No action is required from you. You can continue to use services as normal.
